I have a good friend of mine who is the CFO for a major charity. His job oversees every facet of the organization which means he’s on the hook for quite a bit of accountabilities. For as long as I’ve known him (which is going on five years), I’ve never met another person of such high integrity and morals. He truly is a good man doing a good work. Anyway, I remember about three years ago when he told me what a hassle the Sarbanes Oxley Act was for his organization. Not that he was grumbling. It’s just that the sarbox compliance needed for his organization was the same for much larger, publicy-held companies operating for profit. He of course planned his actions well and came through without a hitch.
