So I’d like to save on taxes and benefit a good cause at the same time. It seems like Charitable Remainder Trusts is a good way to accomplish both goals. I’ve already provided well enough for my heirs.
The more I learn about different types of Charitable Bequest, the more interested I become in using charitable trusts as a way to save on taxes and support causes I believe in at the same time.
I have a number of charities I’d like to support, so the next step is to figure out how the funds will be divided up.
Until next time.

Looking Into Charitable Trusts
Filed Under Business :: Legal | Leave a Comment
I’ve been investigating
Charitable Trusts lately, and discovered that they’re a great way to save on taxes while supporting charity.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about Donor Advised Funds in particular. Frankly, the more I can give to the humane society, and the less to the IRS, the better.
Naturally the kids will be less than thrilled, but of course it’s that very attitude that has me wanting to give most of the money to charity in the first place. I wish they could see that.
What do you think?

Learning About Charitable Trusts

I’d really like for my estate not to end up in the hands of the IRS. So I’m checking out
Charitable Trusts. Looks like a good potential way to go.
The more I learn about Deferred Charitable Annuity trusts, the more interested I become in using charitable trusts as a way to save on taxes and support causes I believe in at the same time.

I don’t have anyone to leave my money to, really, so I’m thinking that a
Charitable Remainder Unitrusts would be a good option for me.

My Personal Experience With Charitable Remainder Unitrusts
Filed Under Business :: Legal | Leave a Comment
I’ve been reading up on
Charitable Remainder Unitrusts and learned some surprising things. For example, you can use them to save on taxes before you pass away, while still drawing income from your gift.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about Deferred Charitable Annuity trusts in particular. Frankly, the more I can give to the humane society, and the less to the IRS, the better.
There are so many great causes in need of funds - it’s hard to decide which is most deserving. One thing is for sure, though - the IRS is not on the list.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.

I hate paying taxes and love supporting charity, so it seems to me that a
Charitable Trusts is an ideal solution.
From what I can tell from my research on
the Cowles Charitable Trust, charitable trusts are the best way to avoid taxes with a large estate.
Of course the hardest part will be convincing my wife that this is the best choice. She’ll want to give it all to the kids, but frankly they’re going to get more than enough as it is.
Alright - that’s all for now.

Now comes the difficult part: informing my family of my decision. They’re all well provided for, of course, but they will object anyway.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.
