The process of acquiring a patent is not limited just individuals. In most countries any firm or a concern as a whole is eligible. However it is very important for any firm while applying for a patent to disclose who the inventor or the maker of the invention is. This is in regards to the public that is so necessary that an individual of the firm or the inventor always makes known his identity. The public is now assured as to how the company had acquired the invention from the inventor. The rightful owner of the patent can now sell his inventions to any third party.
